Ephesians 5:14
The scenery has ebbed and flowed … the story is not yet finished. I know what it’s like to be in the professional desert and wilderness … and also experiencing what it’s like living in the blessed Promised Land. I believe the work is only getting started. By no coordination or manipulation of my own, I get to work alongside of the most gracious, tender, servant-hearted people this side of eternity and our goal is to bring a piece of the Kingdom to earth.
To Him be the Glory, the Honor, and the Praise.
And here we are.
Awakening assumes that one is very much open-eyed, yet the vision is blurred. Open eyes but not seeing clearly. That someone is in a deep slumber in need of rousing. Adding the -ing to the verb means that you are in the process of coming alive and living fully, authentically, and transparently.
Isn’t this so true of us before and when Jesus enters? Awake, yet not alive? Not fully living? Is this not our story?
Awakening.
Awakening has been a God-breathed word into my soul.
